Activities Assist

Students are often surprised to find ten activity spaces on the Common App and wonder how their own experiences will measure up. We help take the anxiety out of that process, becoming an active partner in both developing meaningful experiences and crafting a cohesive narrative around them. We work alongside students to find research opportunities, pursue nonprofit work, and build leadership experience. Our participation is hands-on: we actively find opportunities, help you prepare outreach and applications, and check in regularly as you pursue them.

As a third-year medical student at Emory University School of Medicine, I am excited to help students navigate the decisions, setbacks, and milestones of pursuing medicine, turning an overwhelming process into a purposeful path forward. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I founded ACT Emory (Anytime Campus Tutors), offering drop-in tutoring for Emory’s most demanding classes to help address the challenges of remote learning. We built a team of 30 tutors dedicated to supporting students academically and emotionally through academic advising, stress-relief events, and raising awareness of mental health resources.
